Principal Chief Dr Ronald Yonaguska Holloway of the SandHill Band of Lenape and Cherokee Indians and the International Ambassador for The Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas will be attending and speaking at The World Indigenous Leaders Conference: The Truth Commission on Decolonization and Reconciliation Of the International Council of First Nations on August 14, 2021.
It seems appropriate that this event is taking place in Mexico City, as Mexico is also observing the 500th Year of the Destruction of Mexico by the Spanish. This gathering of First Nations is very timely.
Amongst the many invited dignitaries and other invited guests who will be attending this event will be: President of the United States of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador; the Head of Government Mayor of Mexico City CDMX Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo; Mana Ali’I Nui Aleka Aipoalani His Majesty- King of Polynesian Kingdom of Atooi Nation; Bishop of Rome Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Papa Francisco; Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University,
They are gathering together (many virtually) to discuss the writing of the Universal Declaration of Independence of Sovereign First Nations.
The Universal Declaration of Independence of Sovereign First Nations will address a statement on the signatories true sovereign standing. As well as the repudiation of colonization, the repudiation of neo colonialism; a statement on true ownership of lands and the lands’ natural resources; the Right to Self Determination, the Indigenous government equality and superiority to successor contemporary nation states and the Mutual recognition of all signatories existence and sovereign rights.
