Dr. Jason Valentine is a physician specializing in family medicine at Diagnostic and Medical Clinic Infirmary Health in Mobile, AL. He recently posted a notice to all his patients on Facebook. It’s a photo of a sign on his office door that reads, “Effective October 1st, 2021,
“Dr. Valentine will no longer see patients that are not vaccinated against covid-19,” the sign reads.
. . .
“If they asked why, I told them covid is a miserable way to die and I can’t watch them die like that,”
At least 3 patients have asked him how to get vaccinated since he posted the notice.
This seems like a highly effective technique for getting shots in arms. If every US hospital required proof of vaccination for any person over age 12 to be admitted for COVID treatment (or any treatment, for that matter), the vaccination rate would skyrocket.
And the hospital overload now being experienced would vanish.
If a restaurant can require proof of vaccination, why not a doctor or a hospital?

Many thanks to the many commenters, especially those with medical training (I’m just an engineer), for pointing out that my last suggestion about hospitals refusing emergency care to the unvaccinated is both illegal and unethical. Of course I agree, so I am officially withdrawing my suggestion.
Still . . .
