Good morning everybody.
I believe that the coronavirus could have been prevented from spreading the way it did if it didn't have disinformation campaigns that spread the way they did.
Take a look at this tweet.
Here's another tweet.
But this tweet takes the cake!
I truly don't like disinformation campaigns like the ones for the coronavirus.
There's nothing funny about putting disinformation about the coronavirus. It has claimed 600,000 plus human lives in this country alone.
What is most disheartening is seeing some similarities to the racist, misogynistic, and homophobic disinformation campaigns of HIV/AIDS.
I remember seeing "prosperity preachers" spreading disinformation about HIV/AIDS in the pulpits.
There are governors in this country that are dangerously touting disinformation about this deadly virus to their stans; the ones who will suffer the most will be our most vulnerable, like the elderly, the immunocompromised, and our children.
Take a look at this tweet.
I should mention that there's a serious problem with disinformation in Mississippi.
This disinformation campaign has hit my community.
Here's another tweet about ivermectin.
As sad as this disinformation campaign has hit my community, there's a glimmer of hope.
So here's some advice from a mother; get your COVID-19 information from an epidemiologist, wear your mask, get the vaccine, and protect your most vulnerable in your community by wearing a mask, socially distancing yourself, and washing your hands.
It doesn't have to be this way at all.
