SCOTUSblog has just published a story on Justass Sammy’s rant at Notre Dame Law School today wherein:
Justice Samuel Alito lambasted the media on Thursday for using the “sinister” term “shadow docket” to frame the court as “having been captured by a dangerous cabal that resorts to sneaky and improper methods to get its ways.”
He delivered the criticism in a livestreamed, hour-long speech at the University of Notre Dame deliberately titled, “The Emergency Docket.” His speech is the latest in a recent series of talks in which justices have complained about how the media covers the court, though Alito is the first to focus on the shadow docket.
The good [un]justass has given us the definitive definition of our Supreme Court, that is (to repeat), an institution “captured by a dangerous cabal that resorts to sneaky and improper methods to get its ways.”
Not only has the Federalist Society cabal captured SCROTUS, they have populated it with far-right ideologues (Sammy, check), assholes (Sammy, check), sophists (Sammy, check), the dishonest and corrupt who stay bought (Sammy, check) and Federalist Society operatives who support the Republican agenda without exception (Sammy, triple check).

- And who do you call when you need to dispute a presidential election certification? But of course, Sammy.

Responding to commentators who accused the court of effectively nullifying Roe v. Wade without a hearing, Alito said the court “did no such thing.” He pointed to a line in the court’s single-paragraph, unsigned order: “This order is not based on any conclusion about the constitutionality of Texas’s law.”
While Alito was speaking, another emergency application reached the court. A group of New York City schoolteachers asked the court to block the city’s vaccine mandate for public school employees.
Sammy the Sophist probably had to cut the cheese-and-wine short at Notre Dame to lobby his fascist buds to grant this shadow docket relief to the schoolteachers and all others in society who want to prolong the pandemic and disrupt the economy so profoundly that Trump returns to power. Keeps a man busy, all this deciding stuff.
