So, here we are at another 9/11 anniversary, and my thoughts go back to something that occurred to me ten years ago, at the tenth anniversary… I went back and double checked my numbers just to be sure
I would never want to belittle the pain and suffering of that date and its aftermath, but some perspective is in order.
Some three thousand Americans died that day. The American tobacco industry has knowingly killed millions of Americans, at a current rate of 40,000 per month. The hijackers acted out of a warped religious/political philosophy. The tobacco industry did it out of unadulterated greed, and continues doing it to this day.
Which is the greater crime?
