Last week I did a diary about my health scare putting my butt in gear to get out all of the issues of my online comic book, Gilda And Meek And The Un-Iverse, in case something bad happened to me.
Google was giving me problems with not wanting to runs ads on my site, so that diary was designed to give the site extra views so Google would let me run the ads and make a little extra money occasionally when enough people viewed the site. And no lie, I have had more traffic in the last week than I’ve had for the previous 2 years since I put the site up.
Google still said no. I was actually surprised and disappointed. But the plan had been that once Google greenlit ads on the site, I’d release an issue a week until we were all caught up, and then each new issue as it was put to paper.
If Google was still going to balk, I was gonna release EVERY issue I had in my arsenal at once, including issues that have some very important spoilers that I am VERY reluctant to share (including the answer to the Piranha’s Riddle which has been bedeviling him since the first issue, and the death of a major character). I considered that “The Nuclear Option” and was hoping it wouldn’t come to that.
But, Boom. Ouch.
So yeah, I have spent all day putting down every issue I have on my site, including the five part end of The Mistress Augatha Arc, and the two part series finale of Gilda And Meek. My new front page has a LOT more options on it.

In addition to the new issues, I have added a page linking to artists I like and friends from the animation forum Anime Superhero (formerly Toon Zone) and an “About Me” Page detailing my likes and hobbies.
I am open to suggestions about what to do next. I was thinking of somehow adding a PayPal “Tip Jar” using the honor system, and if people liked what they saw, they could throw a few bucks my way. But I have no idea how to set something like that up on Blogspot. If any artists or bloggers on this board actually know how that’s done please Private Message about it (or at least discuss it in the comments).
The thing that I’d have to keep in mind is that I’m currently on disability. If I get too big of a donation, I could lose that. It wouldn’t be a problem if I got enough regular donations to live on, but that seems pretty unlikely. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to cap the maximum donation for the month at maybe five or ten bucks.
Just for the record, I have looked into Patreon, Tapas, and Webtoons, and the restrictions and formats of each of those sites are not a good fit for me.
So here we. Everything so far. Remember, The Un-Iverse IS a novel and you won’t get everything you need to get unless you read the entire thing in order, including stuff you don’t like. It’s called paying your dues, people. I hope you enjoy my comics and I would consider it a personal favor (and an honor) if you would recommend this diary for more exposure.
