Democrats have a secret weapon this election: you. More than 13,000 Daily Kos community members have come out of the woodwork this election cycle to volunteer with Vote Forward, writing "please vote" letters to Democratic-leaning voters in battleground races.
Together, the Daily Kos community has adopted over 750,000 voters—a 50% increase from the last midterm elections in 2018—who could make all the difference in this election. This has catapulted Vote Forward’s success in adopting 4.76 MILLION voters for the 2022 cycle.
SATURDAY, OCT. 29 is the day to finally drop those letters in the mail. So if you have not yet finished writing the letters, now is the time to take out your pen and help finish the job.
Can’t finish your letters? Contact the Vote Forward Help Desk IMMEDIATELY, and they will re-assign letters to other volunteers.
This has been an excruciating election, with pundits endlessly crowing that a "red wave" will help Republicans win. It didn't matter that the Supreme Court took away our freedoms, or that Republicans are running dangerous election deniers in key races across the country.
But you were undeterred. You kept writing those letters, explaining to these casual voters that this is not the election to sit out. Way too much is at stake. Because there are more of us than there are of them, and it's simply a question of getting out the Democratic vote.
And our combined efforts are working. We saw a huge surge in youth voter registration, had some special election victories, and now several battleground states are seeing big numbers in early voting. And after 5 million Democratic-leaning voters receive Vote Forward letters in the mail this week, we can finish the election season strong and help propel Democratic victories.
