I'm listening to a marketplace podcast interview with an ADP data wonk,. I missed her name.
It's so frustrating to hear her tell him, oh, in buffalo, once you subtract childcare, rent and taxes, people only make 1000$/month. And they are seeing 40% wage inflation which outpaced national inflation of 8%.
Its like those six digit earners who, after their 401k and IRA withholding, are working poor.
Grrr, I hate listening to marketplace because of this sort of lying with statistics. It's so folksy, it makes me want to hurl.
