Wednesday, 11-15, I watched Trump give his same old, same old speech attacking DFL and Biden, falsely claiming how wonderful his presidency of 4 years had been and insisting he would bring the U.S. out of the dark ages when elected president in 2024. He rejoiced at the GOP House results saying Nancy Pelosi was now fired, and gushed like a schoolgirl in love at “A gentleman and a great person named Herschel Walker!”
His audience at Mar-a-Lago, included his club members and far-right MAGA supporters, but not his family or any prominent Republicans. The cheers were overly dramatic, I suspected some must’ve been paid to chant & cheer after his every other word. Those who tried leaving before he was finished were prevented by security from accessing the exits. After listening to his bilious, blustering barrage of false and exaggerated misinformation, I went to bed thinking how nice it has been since Biden has held the office not to awaken every morning in dread of the 6 a.m. news. I no longer fear to turn on the TV and hear what chaos and trouble Donald Trump has stirred up in the personal hornet’s nest he created with his childish name calling, and his vindictive and spiteful fighting with anyone who doesn’t agree with him.
