It has been bought to my attention that the creative team behind the racist comic book has been getting deleted from social platforms and having their ads rejected for quite some times now. At least according to the multiple blogs this current ‘publisher’ owns and operates. ...and the right wing podcasts Mike likes to appear on...
They also now think we are the ‘big tech, elite, puppet masters’ (antisemitic slurs) behind all of it going back years. In typical paranoid right-wing fashion, IT’S A CONSPIRACY!
We are also getting suspicious emails, so if my family gets slain in the middle of the night by masked assailants in Punisher t-shirts this update will lead the FBI to their doors.

These are just a few of the Racial and National groups that Punisher writer Mike Baron has demonized in his latest diatribe of racist propaganda, and stochastic terrorism disguised as a funny book. Called ‘The Private American’ it is about a vigilante ‘lone wolf’ wanted by the FBI, who wears the ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ Gadsden Flag snake (long known to be used by far right radicals and neo-nazi groups, see the BBC Documentary ‘White Power USA’ on youtube) on his chest while he brutally murders migrant workers and families fleeing fascism abroad under the assumption that they are all “...human traffickers, criminals, arms dealers, & drug smugglers, with suitcase bombs...” The use of the Gadsden Flag snake is an obvious dog whistle to the Tea Party and tRump Rally goers who popularized the Gadsden Flag to use in substitute for the Rebel Flag.
“...this book's subject matter will likely prevent it from ever finding a home at a mainstream comics publishing house...” reads the script on the Kickstarter Project Page.
You think so, huh? I wonder why...
Now live on Kickstarter and violation their terms of service for:
-Offensive material (e.g., hate speech, encouraging violence against others, etc).
-Projects that promote discrimination, bigotry, or intolerance towards marginalized groups.
Published by Chris Braley who’s previous projects also include Mike Baron such a ‘Thin Blue Line’, which was featured on FOX AND FRIENDS, and drawn by an actual cop!
This past work is about vigilante police officers who ‘have to’ go on a killing spree in black communities. An obvious ode to Fox News Talking points and the fake news narrative about ‘Violent BLM Rioters’ that set Kyle ‘crybaby’ Rittenhouse (and 600+ other right wing extremists just this year) on the path to hunting human beings for sport.
The Private American just turns Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and other 3%er types towards Hispanic, Chinese, and Muslim peoples and plays into the paranoid, bigoted, delusions.

Yeah, the same ‘porous border’ Orange Hitler supposedly rebuilt... Of course, I’m sure they will no doubt play these books off as ‘fictional exaggerations’, but we all know, damn well, fictional exaggerations are the core belief system of the dangerous radical right, Qanon Terrorists, and trigger happy militia types. And these racist mythologies are whole-heartedly embraced by the project team behind this book, who have blurred the line between their ‘fiction’ and racist ‘reality; they are propagandizing the public with, including children. This is ‘just a comic book’, like Elon Musk is “just joking around’ when he posts Hitler ‘Memes’.

From the Charlottesville anti-semetic tiki torch riot, to Asian Hate, to the rise of Vehicle Attacks, to the Home Invasion that left Nancy Pelosi’s husband hospitalized, projects like ‘The Private American’ only fan the flames of political extremism that led to the Jan 6th Insurrection and the death of 5 D.C. Police officers.

THIS is the kind of Radicalization, disguised as ‘entertainment’, that would fit perfectly on a Klansman’s book shelf between The Turner Diaries and Mien Kampf. I’m sure the publisher can table this book at the next tRump rally right between Kanye West’s ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts, and Nick Fuentes’s new book ‘The Incels Guide to AR-15s’.
It is pretty clear that Mike Baron and his team have decided to fall on the wrong side of history and the #COMICSGATE battle. UPDATE: It has been brought to our attention that the team behind the Private American book has experienced a long history of being banned, blocked, and shut down going back to previous projects for a long time now. They have already been dealt with on Google, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and IndieGoGo long before we ever noticed their existence. Seems like they have been making problems for themselves all along for the media coverage it gets them. This seems to be their business model, to gain sympathy through a ‘victimhood narrative’.
UPDATE: We got word on Twitter from the actual Co-Creator of the Punisher that Mike Baron is in fact NOT the ‘Creator’ of the Punisher comic book so we replaced it with ‘writer’ in the title.

UPDATE: While our Opinion piece here on Daily Kos only intended to highlight the very racist myths and tropes pushed by this horrible comic book campaign in its Project Script (and not the comic book itself) I came across this gem of a piece from Graphic Policy back in 2017:
We had no idea the extend of Mike Baron’s efforts to cement himself as a prominent Alt-Right comic book writer. We are shocked. He actually attempted to launch a book about a real life Violent Criminal, guilty of Arms Trafficking, Robbery, Assault and more. The very same kinds of crimes that his new ‘Private American’ title claims to be against, all except the misdirected Violence of course.
I feel sorry for fans of his long past comics works who now find themselves in the position of having to try and defend someone who thought the founder of the ‘Fraternal Order of Alt-Knights’ would make a great subject for a comic books. I mean, come on, that name is a trifecta of Klan, Neo-Nazi, and Alt-Right tropes. Kinda hard to play that one off.
We hope Mike turns off the Fox News, stops scrolling DailyStormer (which he has allegedly retweeted), and take a long hard look in a mirror and ask yourself:
