With federal prosecutors wanting to make plea deals with more than a few of the Jan 6th insurrectionists, you would think it is a no brainer for those caught on tape committing insurrection to want to make a deal. But you would be oh so wrong with someone like Matthew Bledsoe of Memphis, TN. When you are a Qanon believer, who needs to make a stinking plea deal with the dreaded cannibalistic pedophiles who run our government?
A Memphis business owner is likely headed to trial for his involvement in the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, when thousands of supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to stop the certification of President Joe Biden's victory.
According to court filings, Bledsoe rejected a plea deal from the U.S. government on Jan. 31. Court documents did not detail the conditions of the plea agreement.
His attorney has requested a trial date in August in order to give time for the filing of "several pre-trial motions," according to court documents.
There are no details on what was in the rejected plea deal offer, but it doesn’t matter to our intrepid Matthew Bledsoe. He is a Qanon follower. And he posted his exploits for all to see on his Instagram account. Here is one pic that Bledsoe posted:
And here is what the DOJ had to say with regards to that picture:
A video compilation posted on theessentialmattbledsoe account shows the crowd approaching the Capitol building. Another photo in the same video then shows people climbing the walls of the building with a title added, that appears to have been taken from the top of the wall. This is followed by a selfie that appears to look out from the Capitol onto the lawn. The compilation video then contains a clip of Mr. Bledsoe and his companions immediately outside an exterior door of the Capitol. An alarm can be heard blaring in the background. His companion says, “We’re going in!” Mr. Bledsoe turns the camera to show the door then says, “In the Capitol. This is our house. We pay for this shit. Where’s those pieces of shit at?” As he’s walking and talking, the video shows him passing through the outer door and into the hallway. The two screenshots below to the left show Mr. Bledsoe prior to entry and the two to the rightshow him after entry.
I like the bit where he has “Nothing can stop what’s coming” on the middle picture. And did I mention that the prosecutors have his videos and pictures to use against him in the upcoming trial? Once again, an insurrectionist is going to go for a Jedi Mind Trick on a jury.
And like oh so many insurrectionist before him, Bledsoe has had “run ins “ with law enforcement before.
36-year-old Matthew Bledsoe was charged with domestic assault after kicking in the front door of his home, chasing his wife, picking her up by her throat, and slamming her onto the floor.
On October 25th, Memphis Police Officers Hill, Welch, and Stewart responded to a domestic violence call to a residence located at 2032 Kingsrow Parkway in Cordova, TN. Matthew Bledsoe, the owner of Primetime Movers, met the officers at the front door. He stated that his wife, Kathryn Bledsoe was still angry from the previous evening. Officers reported the Bledsoe’s had an argument the previous evening and Matthew left the residence for the night. Matthew said that he had returned the next morning to find that Kathryn had locked and deadbolted the front door. Kathryn Bledsoe told officers that Matthew has assaulted her in the past which was why she locked the door to the home. She then said that when he arrived he kicked in the front door, tearing the frame out. The report stated that Matthew yelled at Kathryn and began throwing items in the room. He then picked Kathryn up by the throat and threw her down in front of a television, breaking it.
This was not a one off either. His wife — she supported his actions on Jan 6th — was afraid to report previous incidents of assault for fear that he would take their two daughters away. He did all of this in front of his kids, who are 4 and 6 years old. He also has also been arrested for DUI.
Nothing like showing love of kids when you beat their mom in front of them. And you get drunk and drive a car that could kill others. Some of them could be kids. But what is a little bit of hypocrisy to a Qanon follower?
By the way, it wasn’t his wife who provided the tip to the FBI about Bledsoe. It was someone else who knows Bledsoe, and they are so afraid of Bledsoe and his family and friends they did not want to be named in the news article mentioning the tip.
One of those tipsters explained to WMC why they helped investigators.
“I was shocked. I was scared. I was concerned,” the person said in a phone interview. “I wanted to do something to feel like I had some sort of control over what was going on in our country.”
The tipster said they feared retaliation if Bledsoe’s family or friends found out they had talked to the FBI, but it was a risk worth taking.
“I was just stunned that this was the hill that he (Bledsoe) chose to die on,” said the tipster.
Of course, Bledsoe made it easy for someone to turn him in because HE POSTED WHAT HE DID ON JAN 6TH TO HIS INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT!
I think I mentioned that before, but I live in an age where people post their criminal actions for millions to see. Back in the Dark Ages when I grew up, photographic or video images of a crime in progress were sort of kinda rare. You could shoot your mouth off to a whole bunch of people about a crime you committed, and it might lead to a criminal investigation. Or you could be unlucky enough to commit a crime in front of witnesses.
But if we went back 50 years ago and could tell people they will have the technology to post their crimes for millions to marvel at, most rational people would have laughed and said, “WTF?”. That’s just stupid!
Welcome to the world of Qanon.
