New footage from the December 7, 2020 raid on Florida scientist and COVID-19 whistleblower Rebekah Jones shows the raid was worse than anyone previously thought.
Gov. Ron Desantis infamously ordered the raid on the former manager of COVID-19 Data and Surveillance for the Florida Department of Health just over a year ago.
The raid was broadcast all over the world, viewed hundreds of millions of times online, and made headline news for weeks.
Police initially lied about the raid, releasing a false public statement that “at no point were weapons drawn.”
Jones quickly released footage showing not only were weapons drawn, they were pointed at her, her husband and their two small children.
In a recent Tik Tok post, Jones released additional footage never seen before — including a terrifying scene of a police officer pushing her son in the doorway with an automatic rifle to his back.

The look on her son’s face as the family are finally allowed to come inside (after being held outside in the cold without socks, shoes or even a jacket) sums up the fear the entire country experienced in watching the original video.
The lawsuit her attorneys are seeking against the state could be “one of the largest whistleblower settlements in American history,” according to the attorneys.
Certainly, whatever footage Jones has held back all this time will be devastating to the state once it’s released. Jones has stated online that “all 45-minutes of video will be released after the documentary is done,” referring to a movie currently wrapping production about her experience, with Academy Award nominated director Josh Fox (Gasland) at the helm.
Possibly the least surprising in all of this is how well Jones has done in her Congressional bid in an otherwise stark-red district, closing the gap in her run against GOP incumbent Matt Gaetz. Even if Gaetz is indicted or drops out of the race, her name recognition, reputation for honesty, integrity and courage, and her popularity within the state will make her the top contender for the seat.
