Among many things, I am a meme-maker. Some of my memes are quite old, and others I make on-the-fly as need arises.
I plan to publish a number of essays that deal with some of the themes of my meme-making. I plan to call the essays "Meme Adventures."
But first: I need to do a little experimentation with the Daily Kos editor. I have communicated with the fine folks at the Help Desk, and I owe them a debt of gratitude for not making me feel like a total idiot. The Help Desk also gave me some suggestions, which I now intend to put to use, just to see how things look.
And so far, things look one heck of a lot better than they did before I contacted the Help Desk.
What follows are a series of memes, all created by me, usually using the Meme Generator app or the cheezburger web site. I have tried to include credits with all of my memes, and they should all available freely to use with attribution.
In future essays, I plan to have "a theme to the meme"; but today, I can only offer a melange of disconnected memes, which might give the reader some idea about my sense of humor, or lack of it, as the case may be.
As I understand, there are several memes of this type, in which Bobby Hill looks like a criminal. But the Waterloo (Ontario) Record ran a police sketch that was spooky-close.
I am fond of making memes that include references to popular culture. At the risk of classifying it as "culture," the above meme refers to Scooby-Doo. Oh, and Nixon, too.
Some of my memes maybe a bit on the lowbrow side, but all of my memes will "follow the rules," and I believe the above meme is within bounds. That said, no subject is out of bounds. Religion, politics, drugs, sex, hypocrisy, public figures... All of them are fair game.
You may have seen some of my memes at Anti-Vaxx Chronicles:
Well, those are good for just a start. Criticism is welcomed and appreciated.
