Happy Friday! Hope you have a great one! Not doing much today, it’s supposed to rain all day again. Draco and I may work on the laundry room, if we have the spoons and don’t hurt too much. Or that may end up waiting for next week. I just hate being without a washer.
Groceries tomorrow when Bit is off. If it’s pouring we’ll take a cab out. If it’s not we’ll walk and cab back like usual.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

I’m thinking of trying Macrame to see if it helps with the mobility of my hands. I figure I’ll get one kit to make a hanging planter and see if I can manage it. If it works well, I can get more stuff and re-learn more knots, etc. Yes, re-learn. I used to do macrame as a pre-teen/teenager. A good friend’s mom ran craft classes for macrame and ceramics and so we had access to all that stuff, and she happily taught us how to do it. My clinical thinking OT brain thinks this may be a good exercise to help keep stiff finger joints a bit more limber, so I’m going to try it.
We also got a seed catalogue in the mail.. sent to someone who used to live at this address ‘or current resident’. It’s a Burgess Seed and Plant Co catalog? So Bit and I have been thinking of doing some potted gardening this spring.. maybe some tomatoes and a few other veggies. Bit wants to order some Tomato Trees that are in here, but I think that’s going to give us WAY too many tomatoes LOL. I think we would end up leaving buckets of free tomatoes around town. That may not be a bad thing though. FloridaSNDad wants to get a dwarf peach tree. We don’t want to get any full sized trees because we don’t want to be living here in five years.
Have any of you tried macrame?
