When it comes to critical race theory (CRT), talking about LGBTQ+ people or identities, or even having certain books available in classrooms and libraries, Republicans are quick to say these materials would “indoctrinate” young people. Thanks to a video obtained by ABC 7 News, we can now watch indoctrination in action as a preschool teacher is seen leading her young students in a chant against President Joe Biden.
“Who’s our president?” The teacher asks, to which they reply with Biden’s name. Then she asks, “What do we want to do with him?” to which they reply: “We want him out!” In case there’s any doubt, she actually asks them to respond again, which they do, only louder. The whole video is under 10 seconds, but in a word: Yikes! The private school located in Norco, California, has since issued an apology.

The teacher, who has not yet been publicly identified, led students at Turning Point Christian School in the chant. Parent Christina McFadden told the local outlet that the video was from a President’s Day activity and that she eventually pulled her child from the school. “It doesn’t matter at this point what side of the fence you’re on,” she said, adding that it can happen in any classroom. McFadden told the outlet that the video was originally shared on the school’s messaging app before being removed.
In speaking to local outlet KTLA, McFadden stressed that everyone has a right to believe what they want and that her daughter wasn’t given that chance in this case. “Especially at that age,” she continued. “I don’t even think that she can comprehend to make an informed decision on who and what she should believe in.”
"The first thing she said to me when I picked her up was 'We want him out,'" McFadden told Eyewitness News in reference to the day she picked up her child from school. "That was the great message she learned that day. Her first history lesson."
“Earlier today a video was posted that has since been deleted,” the school said in a statement to NBC News. “As it did not share our school and church philosophy of honoring and respecting authority including those in government positions.”
It’s unclear whether or not the teacher has faced any disciplinary action. McFadden told Eyewitness that she ultimately posted the video (with blurred faces) online because she didn’t think the school’s response was adequate.
