I won’t disclose any details, but I do contract work for a major pharmaceutical. Some clinical trials for an oncology drug I’m working on has patients in Russia. Apparently the concern is that these patients will be cut off from the medicine due to the sanctions, and any data from these sites may become questionable. Be clear that we don’t want the drugs to stop, but it will happen due to the sanctions. Of course this made me wonder how many other drugs are being stopped from entering Russia. I’m sure Russia manufactures most common drugs like antibiotics, but there are a whole world of meds that will become scarce pretty fast. Just one more problem for Putin that will eventually emerge.
