You probably have seen the stories about this. Most of them came out appropriately on April Fools Day.
Here's the Google News search for articles about this.
Wikipedia hasn’t updated the applicable entries to describe this yet but I expect someone will correct this lack of timeliness in short order.
Consider:
Founder of the Gays for Trump group Peter Boykin told Newsweek in an email that those with his group “probably wouldn't 'look gay' because it's a stereotype that fits more with the typical 'look' of leftist LGBT. Not saying some of us might look fabulous and 'gay.'”
“Otherwise it was a suit and tie event, so unless one of us was wearing a joker suit, meh,” Boykin wrote, adding, “Gays for Trump is a nationwide movement full of various types of gays and the gay community has a lot of diversity — the difference is the Gays for Trump lean right.” From The Advocate.
As a side note, Boykin is a hypocrite (big surprise): Gays for Trump Founder Peter Boykin Calls Transgender Troops 'Mentally Challenged' in Newsweek from 2018 and from Daily Beast “Peter Boykin, The Gay Trump Candidate Who’s Against Transgender Troops.”
Boykin’s comment about The Joker piqued my interest so I did a web search for “was The Joker gay” and sure enough this is a question that has been addressed by many Batman fans.

I glanced at the references and noticed that Wikipedia had a fairly long entry “Homosexuality in the Batman franchise” (above lower right).
I was never a big fan of Batman movies, TV shows, or comics though of course the characters are a major part of pop culture. I never gave much thought to depictions or implications of homosexuality in the characters or stories.
I wonder what Gov. Ron “Don’t Say Gay”. DeSantis is making of this? Perhaps he’d support banning the distribution of Batman comics in Florida. Holy Hell, he might launch an investigation of homosexuality in comic books. He could start on Wikipedia here: LGBT themes in comics and here LGBT characters in comics.
Like the “Blacks for Trump” group (see “The Real Story Behind That 'Blacks for Trump' Guy At The Arizona Rally”) we have a very small group of people who find their way into the limelight by supporting someone who is a bigot who I have no doubt considers them useful fools.
It wouldn't surprise me if Trump said this when he first met Jared Kushner:

It appears to me that Peter Boykin registered on Kos and posted a comment which is hidden in the comments section:
UPDATE: When he made this comment I posted it here but someone said doing so violated the rules so I have deleted it.
