Why do I often feel like stories that should garner the attention of the media, sometimes the freaking world, get little attention? Time and again, he’ll pick any given day during the Trump years, because if it weren’t for the bizarro universe we all stepped into, there were an endless cycle of stories that should have made headline news. Instead, they died like a fart in a windstorm.
I often think of the amazing success of the Right Wing echo chamber. Stories get passed down the pipelines and are repeated to the point of mental exhaustion. But they are repeated nonetheless, no matter the material, no matter how outlandish and unbelievable the story is, the entire Conservative voting block has it committed to memory.
To this day we have nothing similar, nothing even remotely as close. And I often think about if we had ½ the Machine that the Right Wing has, with the news that run in our favor, holy crap the other side would be completely obliterated.
We have no echo. We’re excited when a whisper gets printed in The NY Times or the Wa Post. But there remains no Machine on our end, and it still just plain sucks to this day.
