This has been percolating over the last few days. It seems that at least one Republican was leading a tour of the Capitol on Jan 5th (aka possible reconnaissance), despite issuing a direct denial of doing so. He now claims he was merely leading a family on a tour and claims they haven’t been charged in the insurrection.
Yet.
The first step to charging anyone is finding out who they are.
For 16 months Rep. Loudermilk kept this a secret. The committee has questions.
Who was he protecting, besides himself, and why?
If they’re so innocent, why not let them clear their name long ago?
I would imagine that the FBI might have wanted to have a chat with this family to see exactly who they are and whether they passed on anything of use to the insurrectionists. As we all know, having children isn’t a disqualifying factor in being a part of the insurrection. I’d speculate that the majority of the traitors had children (who despise them).
Yes, I’m sure the FBI has some questions. Unfortunately, half of our government has been obstructing justice for more than a year.
