Ok, so I have not been here for a while(in between work and writing my book, ive been very busy)
The last couple of months have been a very trying time.
We have learned that being Pro-life does not mean what we think it means.
We have learned that kids safety is not a priority.
We have learned that the same people who complain about gas prices voted against a price gauging at.
Here is the break down of my thoughts.
1. Being Pro-Life does not mean what we think it means:
People saying that they are pro-life is just a ruse. They are not pro life. They are Pro-Birth. These are the same people who will do anything that for a fetus to make sure it survives. However, once the fetus is born, the mother is a welfare queen, the mother is using tax payer money to support the child that she should not of had. We have all heard the same arguments. Heres a little seceret, you can not claim to be pro life if you are against any program that will help that child or mother succeed. Which leads me to point number 2.
2. We have learned that kids safety is not a priority:
I feel for the families of the kids in Texas. I feel for the surviving students. I feel for the teachers. It breaks my heart. I do in fact homeschool, but after I heard about the shooting, we decided not to continue the lessons for the day, instead, I held my younger kids closer, i made sure to spend extra time with the older ones. (even watched some crazy anime with my oldest). That night I got on facebook, and to my surprise(i shouldn't of been, but i was) the first few post i saw about it was not about the kids, families, or teachers, but rather post about this better not be the reason to take my guns, don't blame the gun, my 2nd amendment right will not be taken away. Im sitting there like really? all these parents will not be able to hug their kids again, and your concern is your gun? I thought you was supposed to be pro-life? There are families that will live the rest of their lives wondering why you think an 11 year olds life is worth losing just so you can spout of about your rights. What about the right of an 11 year old to go to school without living in fear? What about the rights of an 11 year old to go to school and not have to practice an active shooting drill? What about the rights of an 11 year old to be able to live? Yes, YOu can make the argument that if someone wants to kill someone, they will find a way without a gun. I can not argue with that. But if, like you say, its not a gun problem, its a mental illness problem, then what is the big deal about getting people the mental help they need without having to pay an arm and a leg for? YOu want to blame mental illness, but then be against any type of cheap or free healthcare that would combat that mental illness.
And just to throw in how they are so hypocritical,
3. COmplaining about high gas prices, but voting against an investigation to price gauging.
There really isnt to much to say about this, as its pretty self-explanatory.
We need to remember a lot when it comes to election time in Nov. Remember that when you go in to vote, to think about what is going on, and which side is actually trying to show compassion, care, and bring help to people.
