HEARING SCHEDULE:
Hearing 2, June 13 is aimed at showing “Trump engaged in a massive effort to spread false and fraudulent information” despite the fact that he knew that he had lost the election. Former Fox News staffer Chris Stirewalt will testify.

Former Fox News editor Chris Stirewalt is set to testify Monday before the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot after previously blasting the network for its coverage of the 2020 presidential election.
[...]
The former editor [Stirewalt] said he was fired from the network after calling Biden's win in Arizona on election night, which prompted backlash from Trump and his supporters, who claimed the call was premature even though Biden did end up winning the key swing state.
[...]
Fox News, meanwhile, has denied that he was fired over the call. Rupert Murdoch, the network's owner, told The Washington Post in February 2021 that Stirewalt's "leaving had nothing to do with the correct Arizona call by the Fox decision desk."
[...]
Stirewalt delivered a more pointed criticism of the network this past December. [...]
"Those people who stormed the Capitol took seriously what hosts like Hannity and Ingraham and others said over the course of the election. This is very suspicious, mail ballots are very bad. This whole thing could be rigged. As they echoed Trump, they primed the pump, they created that space," he said.
