Let’s all congratulate Bill and Macy Stepien on the birth of their (alleged) baby! As we all likely know by now, Bill Stepien, Trump’s former campaign manager, had to suddenly back out of his live appearance before the January 6 Committee scheduled for June 13, 2022 due to his wife going in to labor. In these cynical times, let’s just stop and enjoy some good news, for once, because no one would be cynical enough to lie to a Congressional Committee to avoid perjury and to throw a wrench into the gears of the January 6 Committee hearings. That’s why the press has been dutifully updated, to avoid the appearance of exactly this kind of impropriety. Unless they haven’t. I suppose we should all just trust that a guy advising the campaign of Harriet Hagemann, the Trump-backed brownshirt running for Liz Cheney’s Congressional seat, would never lie to a Congressional committee.
Update: I will not be deleting this poll, in spite of some hysterical posts stating that I should do so. By posing this question I am not wishing tragedy on Bill and Macy Stepien or their (born? unborn?) child. My thoughts will not travel via some undetectable Collective Unconscious and curse The Stepien Child, infecting him or her with “bad vibes”. I hope they have a healthy baby. However, Bill Stepien remains a propagandist, a liar and an anti-democracy Republican hellbent on getting anti-Democracy Republicans elected to Congress.

As of the morning of 6/17/22, I still can’t find any updates from the Stepiens. Not a word, but who would be so horrible as to question’s someone’s veracity around the birth of a baby??? Better question: what kind of creep uses his wife’s pregnancy to get out of personally damning public testimony?
Bill Stepien is STILL on Trump’s payroll. $10k per month from Trump’s Save America PAC, $130k since May 2021 plus $90,562 from Trump’s “presidential campaign”, per Vanity Fair. This is a man whose job it is to get anti-democracy zealots elected to Congress, a guy who cynically lied to get out of testifying before the body he is actively seeking to destroy by claiming his wife was in labor, knowing that the Plutocratic, billionaire-owned press will never follow up.

6/27/22: Apparently it was a boy. To those who were so offended by this poll, I hope that recent Supreme Court decisions coupled with the institutionalized mendacity on display in the January 6 Select Committee Hearings will be enough to dispel any notion that Republicans should ever be given the benefit of the doubt. Liars all. No one is a bad person for wondering if a Republican lied, and you effected their baby not one bit in so questioning.
