KSAT news
We knew that elementary teacher Eva Mireles was able to use her phone to call her husband Officer Ruben Ruiz to tell him “she has been shot and was dying”… and that sometime later one of her students used her phone to call 911.
What we didn’t know, and this is truly awful, is this:
“And what happened to [Ruiz], is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”
McCraw didn’t say who specifically detained Ruiz.
What the absolute F_CK?!
The more we hear about Uvalde, the worse it gets.
How many kids did the cops kill by (1) letting them bleed out, and (2) firing their weapons on entry?
Just learned a few minutes ago that that classroom door — the one they “couldn’t find the keys for” — could not lock from the inside.
[TX DPS Director] McCraw testified during a Texas state senate hearing the door could not be locked from the inside, and there was no indication that officers even attempted to try to open the door while the suspected shooter, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, was inside—leading him to have “great reasons to believe” the door was never secured.
These revelations are so far beyond pathetic and contemptible that I don’t have words.
McCraw slammed the response, saying “the only thing stopping a hallway of dedicated officers from entering room 111 and 112 was the on-scene commander.”
Remember this name: Pete Arredondo. “Chief” of the Uvalde Public School police department. 6 officers. Just elected to City Council in Uvalde.
