Who are the cowards?
I’m sorry, but Schumer and Pelosi should have suspended recess and forced every Republican to go on the record on abortion.
I’m sorry, but Obama should have shoved Merrick Garland down the Senate’s throat and made an appointment.
I’m sorry, but Schumer should have burned the Senate to the ground before confirming Amy Coney Barret.
I’m sorry, but Biden should never have gone along to get along on Clarence Thomas.
The Democrats, in 2009, had 59 Senators, yet persisted with the 60 vote margin for filibusters.
Why? They were cowards. They believed the American people cared about inside baseball procedural votes instead of getting health care. Because that was a convenient belief to a group of people beholden to interests that didn’t want real health care reform.
Cowards.
But wait, aren’t the Republicans responsible for this?
Certainly.
But they share responsibility for this. If they truly cared about the rights of woman, this would be the hill they die on. They would work through the recess to save this right and put everyone on the record as to where they stand.
But they are cowards.
We have been keeping our powder dry as a party. For what? Maybe now? If not now, when?
What should be happening?
1 — Schumer and Pelosi suspend recess and force all of Congress to take votes on abortion access.
2— The Justice Dept announces investigations to impeach Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Coney-Barrett for perjury.
3— Clarence Thomas is investigated for collusion with insurrectionists.
4— Biden announces sweeping Executive Orders protecting doctors and abortion workers.
What would they do in similar circumstances?
