Remember a short time ago when the rightwing Archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordeleone, made a big show of publicly saying he would refuse Nancy Pelosi Communion in his archdiocese?
Well, today at the Vatican, Cordeleone's boss, Pope Francis, showed just what he thought of that action. Today at the Vatican, Nancy and her husband Paul received Communion with Pope Francis in attendance. The occasion was a Papal Mass commemorating the Feast of St Peter and Paul. St Peter, according to Catholic tradition, was the first Pope, the "rock" on which Jesus built his Church.
Just wanted to get this out there. Communion is a central part of the Catholic faith. Those receiving it show they are a faithful member of the Catholic church. And Pope Francis is just fine with that for Nancy !
