As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Good Morning friends! Welcome to another Saturday. Congratulations! We made it through another week.
Set the way-back machine for a year ago. Last year, in April, I ordered the kilt you see above, from amazon… i would include a link, but the item no longer seems to be available, and I decided to save everyone the frustration. When it arrived in the mail, I was rather annoyed to discover that despite having ordered the proper size according to their chart… the kilt was still at least two sizes too small. Fast forward to earlier this week, when the first thing i did upon getting up was set to putting laundry away -and- getting my winter clothes out of my dresser to go into storage.
While going through the shear mass of things in my drawers, I found the kilt, which had been buried in one of my drawers under a load of sweat pants, and fleece things. I kept putting aside the kilt while I put everything else away, and at last, the kilt was the only thing left on the bed. I decided to take a chance, and discovered that my kilt, wonder of wonders, actually was a perfect fit! which means that not only have i come down to 5 units of insulin a day, from 40 units six months ago, but I have also come down at least two waist sizes!
I do not have words to tell you how happy this makes me!
So! my friends… My question for you is…. What made -you- happy this week?
