As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Welcome to another Saturday, my dear friends, and congratulations for making it through another week. Today’s topic sprung from a conversation with the boy-child at 3am. I apologize. :) We were discussing how he had learned to speak Klingon when he was three… long before he could reliably speak English, and it got me thinking about how many resources there are available now for both the Klingon language, and Klingon Culture.
As it is I have three books, all available on Audible and Kindle.
Star Trek: Klingon Adapted from an interactive PC title in the 1990’s This Novella/Audio play functions as a teaching story, and cultural primer, to introduce the new comer to the ideals of Klingon society.
The Klingon Way Another cultural text for those wishing to delve further into the Klingon mindset.
Conversational Klingon A Klingon Language primer, one of two of which I am aware. I used to have an audio copy of the other, entitled “Power Klingon” on Compact Disc, though it seems no longer to be available, at least not outside of the Imperial Colonies.
The Klingon Language Institute An internet based resource program dedicated to spreading knowledge of the Klingon Language and Culture.
With all these resources, and surely more to come, is it possible we stand to witness the expansion of the Klingon Empire, and perhaps their takeover of our small blue world? Might it even be an improvement?? Qapla’!
