DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition - Journey from Sketch to Screen was a special exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) in Spokane, Washington.
According to MAC:
“From the makers of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Trolls, comes an extraordinary exhibition celebrating over 25 years of DreamWorks Animation.”
The main character of Kung Fu Panda is Po, a panda with an endearing combination of enthusiasm and vulnerability. Along with the Furious Five (Tigress, Crane, Monkey, Viper, and Mantis), he battles a cast of powerful villains to bring peace to the land. According to the display:
“One of the greatest challenges for the makers of Kung Fu Panda (2008) was to create a fighting style unique to each character. They relied on the expertise of their animators to compose authentic kung fu moves and postures based on the distinct physicality of each animal.”
