If you are a boomer like I am, you probably remember “The Seekers”, a folk-pop group based out of Melbourne, Australia who had their first international hit in 1965 with “I’ll Never Find Another You”. I was 14 at the time and loved it (still do). Other hits followed, including: “A World of Our Own”, “Georgy Girl” and “The Carnival is Over”.
Judith Durham, who was lead singer of “The Seekers” died Friday after an extended illness. She was 79.
I am posting this because I still believe in good music which is sorely needed these days—along with a beautiful voice, which Judith possessed.
RIP Dear Lady. You will be missed.
