Anthime “Tim” Gionet is the far-right online troll, white supremacist asshat, and U.S. Capitol building insurrectionist known as Baked Alaska.” As you can see in the above image, Gionet filmed himself trespassing throughout the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021. He recorded himself speaking on camera live from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. On top of all of that, Gionet wasn’t even supposed to be outside of his home state of Arizona at the time because he still faced assault charges in Scottsdale.
On Tuesday, POLITICO’s senior legal affairs reporter Kyle Cheney reported that Judge McFadden sentenced Gionet to 60 days in jail, two years of probation, and a $2,000 fine for his part in the Jan. 6 coup. According to Cheney, prosecutors were asking for 75 days in jail, while a probation office had recommended 45 days. The judge’s decision is a compromise between the two.
This comes months after Gionet blew up a plea deal he had almost finalized, seemingly with the hope of retaining some of his online subscriber base.

Gionet has a solid history of being a terrible person whose entire revenue stream is based on streaming and sharing videos of him harassing and menacing people in public. While he started as a douchbag hanging out with Tiki torch white supremacists, he has graduated to an outright menace, harassing women in front of night clubs, assaulting a bar security guard with pepper spray, and defacing a public Hanukkah display. Baked Alaska has made it clear that, at every step of the way, he is a real piece of shit.
To put this sentencing into perspective, Pamela Moses of Memphis—who began a BLM group there—was sentenced to six years in prison earlier last year for registering to vote, although she was ineligible. Black activist Brittany Martin has been serving a four-year sentence for using threatening “language” while protesting against the police violence that killed her brother-in-law. Oh, and Martin’s pregnant.
As a known piece of shit, Baked Alaska is one of Elon Musk-owned Twitter’s newly unsuspended accounts. He used his newly restored account, in part, to appeal for lenient sentencing.
His audience bought the BS, as always.
Because Gionet is a right-wing grifter, and grifters gotta grift.
