Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin's appeal has failed, and Judge Mathew's ruling removing him from office for engaging in insurrection prevails.
From September:
Today:
… Judge Mathew’s decision that the January 6th attack on the Capitol was an insurrection and that Mr. Griffin engaged in it stands. Following the ruling, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel Donald Sherman released the following statement:
“The New Mexico Supreme Court’s decision means that Judge Mathew’s ruling – that Mr. Griffin engaged in insurrection on January 6th and disqualified himself from office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment – will stand. We’re pleased that the precedent set by our victory will help protect our democratic institutions from insurrectionists. We look forward to holding more insurrectionists accountable under the 14th Amendment, including Donald Trump.”
I’d worry more about the bugs on your phone, Dude.
Let’s get rid of a few of the coup participants still in Congress too, and bar the guilty from same.
