Housed in a nondescript warehouse in Dayton, Ohio, the British Transportation Museum contains a large collection of British automobiles which are maintained and restored by a crew of volunteers. Most of the cars do not display any information about them. Shown below are some of the Mini automobiles in this collection.
From 1959 until 2000, the British Motor Company and its successors made a two-door compact city car known as the mini. The car featured a transverse engine and front-wheel drive. The Mini Cooper and the Cooper “S” were performance versions. Initially, the Mini was marketed under the Austin and Morris names.

The Mini Moke (1964-1969) was intended for the British Army, but it lacked enough ground clearance for military use. About 50,000 were made for civilian use. Moke is archaic British slang for “donkey.”
