How to Grow Our Social Security Fund
As people turn 62 they’re tempted to start taking social security. What if one could start taking it at 62 and then turn it off at 63. Maybe there’s been a life change; perhaps an inheritance or a new job is happening. For whatever reason if one were able to turn off their social security benefits for a year, two maybe forever, the system would end up growing because the Government wouldn’t be paying out. Perhaps this idea would take a while to catch on, but as it did the social security fund would grow greatly. I think this might be a trillion-dollar idea. I’d love to hear your feedback on this and if anyone thinks it’s a good idea — feel free to pass it along to the Biden Administration or the Social Security Administration.
On another note I’m running for County Commissioner in a special election coming up right quick in Portland, Oregon. You can learn more @ albertkaufman.com
