Oh, yawn. My chiropractic appointment this month wasn’t as stressful as February’s, but I still wanted a nap when I got home.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

My sister is going to make me a quilt. Flame colors with a black background. I never expected this — it’s going to be a throw for my loveseat.
It rained hard here last Monday. About the most exciting thing that happened that day. Cloudy and dry on Tuesday. My grandson got a last-minute invitation to go home with one of his classmates on Monday — last-minute to the point where I was waiting for him to get to the car when I got the text from my daughter. On Wednesday, he went home with the one who usually comes home with us on Wednesdays.
When I tried to pay my phone bill over the phone, I got transferred to a real person. I paid the bill and then made one more attempt to sign up for fiber internet — the guy I was talking to said that they have installed fiber in my neighborhood now, so I made an appointment for the tech to come on the Monday of spring break. I wonder if they’re going to tell me that fiber installation hasn’t happened yet and they don’t know when it will — that’s what happened last time.
I decided, since I ordered them on the day it snowed here (that it didn’t melt for three), I would wait on checking whether my new glasses were ready to pick up. Since I don’t know where they send the orders to be made up, I also allowed some time for the miserable weather around the country. Friday evening, the thought occurred that somebody could be running on automatic for notifications and they might have texted my landline, which is not something that works. After seeing my chiropractor yesterday, I went by the Visionworks I’d ordered them through and they were there. I mentioned my Friday evening thought, and the card was marked ‘call only’, but the young woman I was dealing with said I was very likely right.
