Weapons systems, munitions, supplies - getting them to Ukraine is keeping the country in the fight. Not surprisingly, Russia is trying to keep tabs on what's coming in, and where it's going.
Kos has repeatedly stressed the importance of logistics — getting vital supplies to Ukraine. Poland has become a key trans-shipment point, not least because shipments are coming in by air there, and it’s also where shipments have to be transferred onto rail cars that can run on Ukraine’s Russian gauge.
The BBC reported several days ago that Russia has been making an effort to track what’s coming in, and where it’s going. So, it’s important that a report from Adam Easton has news that a Russian spy network has been broken up in Poland.
Poland has charged six foreign citizens with preparing acts of sabotage and spying for Russia, interior minister Mariusz Kaminski has said.
Mr Kaminski said the six were "foreigners from across the eastern border" and they had sought to disrupt military and aid supplies to Ukraine.
Prosecutors are currently preparing proceedings against three other people also detained in the operation.
Mr Kaminski said the cell had been preparing "sabotage actions" in Poland.
"Evidence indicates that this group monitored railway lines. Their tasks included recognising, monitoring and documenting weapons' transports to Ukraine," Mr Kaminski told a news briefing on Thursday morning.
"The suspects were also preparing sabotage actions aimed at paralysing the supply of equipment, weapons and aid to Ukraine."
Six of the suspects have been charged with conducting espionage for Russia and participation in an organised criminal group, after they were detained as part of an operation conducted by Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW).
ABW officers found cameras, electronic equipment and GPS transmitters that were to be mounted on aid transports to Ukraine.
Tracking where shipments are going, where they end up, would provide Russia with a list of targets and their locations. There are more details at the BBC link, and links to other BBC reports on the spy versus spy efforts going on.

Presumably there are comparable efforts being made against Russia, but no news is good news — for Ukraine and its allies.
This kind of conflict can be just as deadly and have as big an impact as anything on the battlefield.
