From www.washingtonpost.com/… - “Justice Department and FBI investigators have amassed fresh evidence pointing to possible obstruction by former president Donald Trump in the investigation into top-secret documents found at his Mar-a-Lago home, according to people familiar with the matter.”
Few snippets from the article -
In the classified documents case, federal investigators have gathered new and significant evidence that after the subpoena was delivered, Trump looked through the contents of some of the boxes of documents in his home, apparently out of a desire to keep certain things in his possession, the people familiar with the investigation said.
Investigators now suspect, based on witness statements, security camera footage, and other documentary evidence, that boxes including classified material were moved from a Mar-a-Lago storage area after the subpoena was served (in May), and that Trump personally examined at least some of those boxes, these people said. While Trump’s team returned some documents with classified markings in response to the subpoena, a later FBI search found more than 100 additional classified items that had not been turned over.
Trickle-down obstruction from the crime boss -
These people said prosecutors have collected evidence that Trump ignored requests from multiple advisers to return the documents to the archives over a period of a year, that he asked advisers and lawyers to release false statements claiming he had returned all documents, and that he grew angry after being subpoenaed for the documents.
What do we think trump the master-grifter was saving these classified documents for?
As investigators piece together what happened in May and June of last year, they have been asking witnesses if Trump showed classified documents, including maps, to political donors, people familiar with those conversations said.
From a recent study by navigatorresearch.org/… —
- Two in three are hearing about a potential indictment of Donald Trump as nearly three in five think he has committed a crime.
- Out of a range of actions for which Trump is being investigated or has been investigated, at least half call each a crime, and a majority support an indictment over the alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.
- The most effective messaging about a potential indictment emphasizes that no one should be above the law and that if prosecutors have evidence Trump has committed a crime, they should follow the facts.
Looks like Jack Smith and his team are working methodically and collecting evidence of one of the greatest crimes of the century. There must be lot more going on at the DOJ than what is being reported here, to build an iron-clad case, which no court can reject. Let’s hope the hammer falls soon.
Meanwhile, let’s keep the pressure up and let’s keep spreading the truth, because we darned well know that the fascist party and its minions will work overtime to lie and to deceive the American people.
