I try to avoid watching MSNBC until Deadline: White House comes on the air because of how awful the early afternoon coverage is. However, Trump was being arraigned before that time, so I took the plunge and turned on the TV. I had more than a few moments of yelling at the TV. But I did learn a few things:
- Andrea Mitchell, Chris Jansing, and Katy Tur are obviously employed to give us the standard BS from the D.C. Establishment, especially on this historic day.
- Both Andrea Mitchell and Chris Jansing were aghast that Trump was being arrainged.
- Jansing thinks that this is oh so divisive, and how could we have gotten to this point?
- Jansing and Mitchell reached into the past during the Watergate scandal, and both bemoaned on why we couldn’t do what was done back then? And what was done back then? Nixon resigned, and Ford pardoned him.
- Mitchelll breathlessly tells us that she interviewed Ford about this, and Ford stated that it was his PROUDEST accomplishment as president!
- Never mind that Ford lost the election in 1976 because he pardoned Nixon.
- Katy Tur, who always wants Republicans and Democrats to compromise and pass bipartisan bills, did not disagree with any of the above BS.
- Trump spokesperson Alina Habba was covered spewing lies with no corrections by any of the above “journalists.”
All I could do was yell at Chris Jansing, “IF THEY HAD CONVICTED NIXON, WE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A DONALD TRUMP AS PRESIDENT! PROBLEM OF THIS DIVISIVE MOMENT IS SOLVED!”
Meanwhile, we had a few actual useful nuggets of news that came about as this above trio was wrapping up.
- Trump is literally keeping Walt Nauta next to him at all times. Nauta arrived with Trump’s secret service escort, and when Trump left the court room, he was in a single file with his secret service escorts with Nauta in that line. Trump is terrified that Nauta will maybe flip, so he is keeping that reality distortion field focused on Nauta.
- Trump didn’t look at anyone until he left the court room. Supposedly, Trump tried to stare down all the reporters while he was leaving. But until that time, Trump looked straight ahead with his arms folded across his chest. In other words, Trump was hating this with every fiber of his being.
- No date was set for when Trump has to return to court. That’s up to Judge Cannon.
- You cannot believe anything you hear on TV from the local attorneys with regards to the corrupt Judge Cannon. Jon Sale was being interviewed, and he was one of the local attorneys who told Trump, “NO!” Sale claimed he was not defending Judge Cannon, but he thought she would “learn” about the government classification system for documents and be a good judge. Even the D.C. Establishment trio were not buying this line of BS, and I couldn’t help but assume that Sale didn’t want to piss off Judge Cannon.
- Oh! And Mitch McConnell is still a coward. They cut to McConnell when he was asked about Trump and his indictment, and McConnell said they have a lot of Republican candidates for president and would not comment on them. When MSNBC realized they would get NOTHING ELSE from McConnell, they cut away from him. McConnell wants the judicial system to “take out the SOB” without Republican DNA on any Trump killing political weapon.
And that is all for now.
