I don’t know how much this migrant flight to California story has received. It is hard to say because I scour for information constantly, so I don’t know how much it has permeated the Dance With the Stars attention span of the American electorate. But it is bad. So let’s recap:
California's attorney general is investigating whether the government of the state of Florida played any role in sending more than a dozen migrants to the California capital of Sacramento without advance notice.
Sixteen asylum seekers from Venezuela and Colombia were dropped off at the doorstep of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento on Friday, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing officials. They had initially been taken by bus from Texas to New Mexico and then flown by private jet to Sacramento, California Governor Gavin Newsom said in a statement issued on Saturday.
Attorney General Rob Bonta, also a Democrat, said in a separate statement that California was investigating whether there was criminal or civil liability for those who arranged the flight. Initial findings revealed the migrants possessed documentation "purporting to be from the government of the State of Florida," Bonta said.
You Amazon Prime ship laptops or video games, not human beings. Governor Newsom is not playing, either.
As you might recall DeSantis brazenly shipped human beings to Martha’s Vineyard last year, thus the reference. But this is a clear shot across the bow at DeSantis, and it would not surprise me in the least if he faced charges for it.
Do I see the potential to charge for this? Absolutely. Would they? I think they might. Newsom is not a pushover, he is a real in your face Democrat who stands by the brand and will seek to punish transgressions against human beings and his state.
But just in the past hour, another plane has arrived in Sacramento, this time carrying 20 people.
Another plane with migrants onboard arrived at a Sacramento airport on Monday, days after a flight carrying South American migrants landed in the state capital, officials said.
Florida authorities appear to have been involved in sending the migrants to California based on documents carried by the travelers on both flights, State Attorney General Rob Bonta's office said to KTVU. State officials confirmed to KCRA there were about 20 migrants on board, and the Department of Justice has made contact with them.
Attorney General Rob Bonta said the groups' transportation to California was orchestrated by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Apparently this group was approached by workers promising them some kind of assistance in El Paso, TX when they were placed on a plane to Sacramento with few if any belongings.
This sort of inhumane trafficking is what banana republics might do, not a civilized westernized nation.
If this is a violation of law, then it must be punished.
Then the bastards can have both of their top candidates under felony indictment.
