UPDATE: This makes some sense to me. Ukraine has two offensive operations going on along the Zaporizhzhia front line. The one to the east at Velyka Novosilka may just be a fixing operation to keep two Russian divisions there. Or Ukraine may see which one has the most success and reinforces that one.
There are many reports tonight indicating that Ukraine has opened up in a big way on the city of Tokmak, a strategically important transportation hub in Zaporizhia Oblast northeast of Melitopol.
Reports indicate multiple explosions in the city and Ukrainian Army activity along the front north of the city. There is speculation that this could be the big push of the counteroffensive, but that, of course, remains to be seen.
Orikhiv is north of Tokamak and just northwest of Malaya Tokmachka, mentioned in the tweet above. The tweet below is from a pro-Russian blogger.

The aftermath of the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam on the Dnipro River continues.
Oleshky is across the Dnipro River from Kherson in the occupied part of Kherson Oblast.
The Russians there are apparently uninterested in rescuing residents there. There are even reports that Russians have been firing on rescuers.
Hola Prystan is downriver from Kherson and Oleshky near the mouth of the Dnipro River delta.
These satellite photos show the extent of the flooding really well.
Animals have been among the victims and among the rescued from the flood waters.
There should be more plain speaking like this. Russia lies. Period.

There is also destruction going on in the Kinburn Spit, an ecologically sensitive peninsula that juts into the Black Sea from the Dnipro River delta and has been occupied by Russia.

This is a Russian industrial plant in Shebekino, near Belgorod.

The upper house of the Swiss Parliament approved it. The lower house earlier rejected it. The lower house will now have a chance to reconsider.
