Lev Parnas is a Brooklyn native with Ukrainian ancestry who worked as an interpreter for Rudy Giuliani as he attempted to dig up dirt on Hunter on Joe Biden in Ukraine, and who is currently finishing out his house arrest for violating straw and foreign donor bans. In this video, he reads a ten-page letter he sent to Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer concerning his activities with Giuliani where he drops a fairly major bombshell about Hunter Biden’s laptop (At 22:05 in the video)
Lev Parnas states here in a letter to James Comer that he and Giuliani were told a story by a Burisma businessman named Vitoli Prusch[sp?] who claimed that during a meeting between Hunter Biden and the Khazaksan minister of foreign affairs, he became extremely intoxicated [ed. with alcohol and drugs] and incapacitated. While he was out Russian FSB agents, Russian Secret Police and [Burisma CEO] Zlochevsky's team copied the contents of his Laptop which was then compromised and manipulated by Russian Intelligence.
Giuliani was told that the laptop had embarrassing photos, but there was no evidence of financial crimes on it. Parnas states that It was only later that the idea of "finding" proof of financial crimes was introduced. He doesn’t give the exact date that the copying took place although it seems to be early in 2019. This is on top of the fact that the GRU hacked Burima’s email accounts.
We know that 3 water-damaged laptops were eventually dropped off at John MacIsaac’s shop in April, 2019. Hunter denies that he did this — although he has forgotten doing some things during this period like fathering a child — and his signature on the repair work order doesn’t match. Could FSB have dropped off a fake copy of the laptop with some files/emails tampered with for MacIsaac? Perhaps. Either way, nothing from that laptop hard drive can be trusted as legitimate.
When questioning Zlochevsky about the Bidens he responded via a letter to Giuliani that Hunter was never asked or encouraged to speak to anyone in the US on behalf of Burisma. There were "no political or lobbying efforts on behalf of Burisma," nobody from the company had spoken to Joe Biden and Hunter was "essentially innocent" of the claims against him. [Parts of this letter have been read aloud during hearings by Jamie Raskin]
Parnas is asking to testify before James Comers Oversight Committee. So far, he’s had no response.
Edit:
Following up on the “No financial crimes” issue. The one allegation that has been consistent is the claim that one email to and from Burisma includes a breakdown of how Hunter wanted to be paid. Part of that says “10 for H to hold for the Big Guy.” The "Big Guy” is reportedly, Joe Biden.
[Ed. Note the WaPo was unable to forensically confirm the metadata on this email, which means it can’t be confirmed as real. They also said that many of the files appeared to have been tampered with after the fact potentially by Giuliani or Steve Bannon. CBS using a clean copy of the hard drive they received from Mac Isaac has said that the pictures and text messages on the laptop “look like Hunter’s” but they didn’t do the forensic metadata analysis that the WaPo performed.]
First off, there’s nothing wrong or illegal with Hunter offering 10% of his pay to his father during a time when he wasn’t VP or President because again the laptop supposedly fell into Mac Isaac’s hands in 2019. Biden was not in office during 2019, so it doesn’t violate campaign finance laws — it’s just a son giving some cash to his dad who was reportedly one of the poorest people in Congress.
Secondly, and the Righties never mention this when talking about the laptop, there’s a later email where Joe Hunter turns the offer down. So, in the end, he didn’t even take the money.
That is something I learned from this video by Attorney Leeja Miller: [This was also confirmed by Hunter’s testimony to the House Committee, this was a “suggestion/question” by one of his partners, but Joe didn't receive anything.]
There are also apparently numerous emails where Hunter tells his business partners not to expect “anything from the Big Guy.” So there’s that too.
[Ed. Hunter started working for Burisma in 2014 — so if the email was from before 2016 then I was wrong above, but the fact that Joe never took the money still makes this issue irrelevant.]
