I am busy and should be watering my roses, but I haven’t seen anything here about the Maui fires.
This has happened in California and it’s just heartbreaking, citizens fleeing for their lives in roaring flames and inferno, many of them not making it. Their pets perish too.
There are so many relevant things to say, I really have no time, so I will quickly choose one: can we think of our young people first for once?
They see and experience the climate crisis and it crushes their hope and optimism. We need a stable biosphere, we need our your people to help lead us out of this with their hope and energy. Somehow on days like this we have to let them know we’re trying, we’re doing everything we can to elect Democrats who can combat the climate crisis, we are not in denial and the massive task of getting off fossil fuels can happen, it will be done.
For all the people of Hawaii and Maui our hearts and thoughts are with you. I’m sorry. President Biden will do everything he can to help.
