That’s a terrifying thought I don’t even want to think about. Donald Trump Jr. publicly endorsed Matt Gaetz for Governor of Florida in 2026, even offering to serve as his campaign manager and chief fundraiser Kim Guilfoyle echoed this support.
The role of a governor is immensely important, impacting the lives of millions of people. It's not a position for personal enjoyment or fulfillment; it's a job that requires sacrifice, dedication, and a deep-seated commitment to the welfare of all citizens. When someone expresses a desire for such a role, not for the opportunities it offers for service and positive change, but for personal enjoyment and career longevity, we must question whether that person's priorities align with the needs of the people.
It also raises the question: if Matt Gaetz is already eyeing the Governor's mansion in 2026, is he fully committed to serving the people of Florida's 1st District today? Can constituents expect full dedication when long-term ambitions clearly lie elsewhere? I can already tell you- Gaetz hasn’t even passed ONE bill in his entire time in Congress. We’ve had tons of projects that have gone unfinished because of a lack of federal funding.
This election is about the people, not about political maneuvers or long-term career planning. I need your support to bring this vision to life, to turn this seat from one of personal ambition to one of public service.
