U.S. Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya, who reminded Trump during the arraignment proceedings that bribing, influencing or retaliating against witnesses is a crime, should call him on the carpet.
Trump’s now infamous Sopranos-style tweet threatening to ‘come after’ who-the-f- knows is a calculated push back against the legal process. A check to see what he can get away with. So the legal process, in the form of the Magistrate, should push back against him
If Trump’s tweet wasn’t enough to get him remanded, it’s at least enough to get him inconvenienced.
Call him back to DC. Drag him to the courthouse. Make him sit and wait. Then give him the same instructions as before. Add the warning that the court is paying attention and he’s dangerously close to ‘the line.’ Show him who’s in charge. Show him that actions have consequences.
And call him Mr Trump when you do it.
