RIP Robbie

Haven’t seen anything on the death of Robbie Robertson, member of the seminal band, The Band.  Robbie is credited with writing most of The Band’s songs.  Whether he co-wrote with other members, who were all wonderful musicians, is up in the air, but there is no doubt Robbie wrote some of best songs to come out of the 60s and 70s.  The Band may have been the original “Americana” band.  Their music is timeless and his passing is a sad day for me.  While Garth Hudson remains on Earth there is definitely a great 4 piece in heaven.  Robbie, Levon Helm, Richard Manuel and Rick Danko.  The Band.  What else can you say.
