I have a bruise on the back of my right hand. I have no idea what caused it.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

The fixing of the problem with my my toilet’s drain turned into a three-day ordeal. It wasn’t quite as bad as it could have been — I could actually use the toilet, just not flush routinely. All done as of last Tuesday, I think. I am going to have to keep an eye out about the possibility of there being a leak at the base of the toilet again. I have had several of those in the time I’ve lived here.
I had my intake visit with the physical therapist on Wednesday. She sent me home with a list of assorted exercises. I am supposed to do half an hour of exercise every day; but I don’t have to do every exercise every day. I have four appointments scheduled at this point — two in March and two in April. She thinks my cane is too long, though I followed the instructions that came with the first one and cut all three I have down to the length the instructions said would work for me — we’re going to deal with that issue at my next appointment.
A new book by Celia Lake (Perfect Accord) came out on Friday. Up to her standards — I’m enjoying the re-read, too.
The fixing of the pipe left my bathtub in particularly filthy shape. The plumber did get rid of most of the inch-deep mud before he left; but still…. My granddaughter came over and cleaned it for me yesterday. I descaled the toilet myself and can finish the rest of the cleaning with no help; but the tub was an issue.
