Hello everyone its been a long time since I have been here. Honestly After Trump I needed a break from politics and I’m grateful that Biden’s Presidency has afforded me that luxury. It’s certainly one of the benefits of having someone that is not unhinged in the Whitehouse among many other things that we always seem to take for granted unfortunately. But now its an election year and here we are again. The fascist threat to democracy is back and its angrier than ever before. Given all that that the Biden administration has done over that last 3 years:
- The strengthening of the unions
- Passing the greenest infrastructure bill in US history
- The strides made in helping people with student debt
- The strength of the economy
- The reduction in inflation
- The stock market (401K)s
- The crippling of Russia
- the handling of the pandemic
That was literally just off the top of my head, I cant even think of all of the things that have been accomplished. Not to mention all of the other incredible things in the works like the plans to create speedlines all over the country which in my mind would be a GAME CHANGER! such a project would fundamentally change our lives forever in this country and create brand new possibilities for where and when we can be at a given place at a given time. Straight up, this project alone can stand as the democratic platform on its own in my honest opinion.
So why on earth is the race so close?! After the disaster that was the Trump presidency and comparing that with what I have already mentioned, which does not even get into details or cover all of Biden's accomplishments, how on earth does Donald still have a chance in hell?
Well Rachel Bitecofer was on Morning Joe the other day and she suggested that we stop playing nice take the gloves off and “Hit ‘em where it hurts”. We face an existential threat in Donald Trump which essentially threatens everything. And we already lost enough after his first go around so we know that we can only stand to lose way more.
Gone are the days of civility as we saw from the actions of Merrick Garland, bending over backwards in the name of bipartisanship, it does not help us! This is truly a fight for our lives! Everything we value on EARTH is at stake and if Biden somehow loses to Trump. I don't think it will be hyperbolic to say that it will be the beginning of the end. As much as I love Michelle Obama we can no longer go high. This is likely going to be the darkest election in American history period! We need Dark Brandon! We need to take a page from the republican playbook and utilize the politics of fear. Because fear is the only thing that will jolt people out of any complacency and look past their superficial and quite frankly idiotic hang-ups like Biden's age or the Israel/Palestine conflict as if somehow the Palestinians would not fair far worse under a Trump administration. This is war and I completely agree with Rachel Bitecofer and others like Steve Schmidt who among many more are warning us to stop playing nice! No more nice please! This victory belongs to us and unfortunately we need to take it by force!
By the way, If you’re among the leftests that are holier than thou, it’s time to get a grip on reality and start thinking with practicality and logic. None of the things you care for will come to a resolve or get any better under a Trump regime. We all know it will get worse and perhaps irreparably so in many important cases(like the environment which we are out of time to play games with). This All-or-nothing ideology some people on the left seem to have is so destructive, disturbing and beyond counter-productive you’re as much part of the problem as any MAGA cultist if not more so. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
