I’m done with Twitter, er, X. But I saw this on another site and it caught my eye.
Our long-indicted Attorney General called out US Senator Cornyn for passing the aid to Ukraine. And Cornyn came back with the goods.
For non-X users:
From Paxton:
This is a question all Texans should be asking. Unbelievable that @JohnCornyn
would stay up all night to defend other countries borders, but not America.
And Cornyn’s reply:
Ken, your criminal defense lawyers are calling to suggest you spend less time pushing Russian propaganda and more time defending longstanding felony charges against you in Houston, as well as ongoing federal grand jury proceedings in San Antonio that will probably result in further criminal charges.
Snap!
The comments on the thread are entertaining. A few folks thank Cornyn for doing the right thing. More comments:
- call for him to resign
- call him a RINO
- call him a gaslighter (he often is, but not in this case)
- “expect more from a US Senator” (What rock are they under? And why not more from an AG?)
I’m certainly not a fan of Cornyn. But I’m glad he standing up for Ukraine and US’s standing on the world stage.
Meanwhile, pass the popcorn.
