The Messerschmitt Me-109 began a new age in aviation history when it first flew in 1935: while earlier fighters had open cockpits, the Me-109 had an enclosed cockpit. The Me-109 on display in the Erickson Aircraft Collection is a Spanish built Buchon, the last version of this famous fighter.
The Me-109 has a maximum speed of 320 mph and a range of 547-711 miles.
