No news in that, as it is a forgone conclusion. Biden as an incumbent President will win and there is no Ted Kennedy type opposition in this primary. ( I don’t oppose this outcome)
This primary I plan to join in solidarity with certain Michigan Democrats in voting uncommitted. If my state ballot does not have uncommitted then I will write in Uncommitted. ( my primary is weeks away)
The reason is to stand in solidarity to boast the Michigan Democrats to gain leverage at the convention to demand a ceasefire and or restore funding for UNWRA humanitarian aid. I also do not want to have history show I am fully on board with what the ICJ is describing as genocide. I am fully in support of a ceasefire and fully funding Humanitarian Aid to Gaza and all Palestinians in need, and they are certainly in dire need.
So the hope is enough uncommitted voters from across the nation with Michigan Democrats could be enough leverage for Biden at the convention to want to switch these uncommitted voters to committed voters by supporting a permanent ceasefire instead of vetoing UN sponsored ceasefires or temporary ceasefires that allow the continuation of military operations( ICJ calls genocide in process). The hope is also to get Biden to fully fund UNWRA humanitarian agency, the only agency capable of reaching Gaza’s starving residents effectively.
