I am surprised that there haven’t been more diaries like BayAreaKen’s about the Supreme Court choosing to review the lower court ruling that the arguments favoring absolute presidential immunity made by the former White House occupant’s lawyers were quite the pile of malarkey. Nonsense on their face. There was a time at Daily Kos that this would have sparked a half dozen posts given the consequential nature of both this move by the Court and this case in particular. We would get lawyerly analysis and educated speculation, and connection to previous relevant cases. And a deeply infuriating rant or two. The front page would cover the matter with information seen nowhere else. Ah well. Nostalgia.
To help spur more discussion on today’s particularly enraging and dangerous move by the Court, here’s a couple of starters.
If you have yet to be pissed about this, after you hear what Glenn Kirchner has to say you will be.
As Chris Hayes says, we cannot count on the courts to take him down. We are the ones who have to topple Trump from his perch.
